The Garden Railway is now OPEN after extensive repairs and refurbishment work. Please take care and beware that further adjustments are to be made.
Saturdays and Wednesdays are working days when not running days. Work and repairs on the ground level track, raised track, out buildings and site are still in progress, general tidying up is always on going as is leaf clearing. So please don't leave it to the dedicated few who do the work, if you have the time please lend a hand, a cuppa and biscuits, sometimes birthday cake, at half time as a reward.
Do you know that the Club has a comprehensive Library run by members Peter Hawkins and Richard Thompson. It has a good selection of Model Engineer publications in hard back volumes, tied up volumes and loose editions. Plus bound and loose editions of Engineering in Miniature, Engineers Workshop, Garden Railway, Model Railways and Technical magazines. Numerous engineering and railwayana referenced hard backed books and DVDs, also a selection of fiction novels (girly books). An Aladdins cave of readable matter, well worth a visit, you might find something interesting or what you've been looking for for ages. There's a load of magazines ready to be recycled (burnt), if you want to go through them, you're quite welcome, take them away but DON'T bring them back. See Peter or Richard about loan terms. Donation of books etc. with in reason, but NO M.E. please.
Congratulations to Andrea and catering team for achieving a 5 Star Hygiene certificate for club catering. Catering will only be available for Open W/ends, Public running days and Santa Specials. Club catering will NOT be available on normal monthly running days, so please be prepared to Bring Your Own (B.Y.O.)
